NELA delivers 200th VCPs in US The Minnesota-based company is continuing its successful business expansion. The 200th Vision controlled Plate Punchbender VCP will be delivered in September 2006. This is quiet a success story for a company which is just celebrating its 6th birthday in July of 06. NELA managed to become the market leader in pre-press punch bending and plate automation equipment within these 6 years. Bringing a vast R&D knowledge from the headquarters of NELA in Germany, the company managed to conquer the once sleeping market of punch bending equipment. CTP conversion brought further boom to this section of the printing industry. The expected total of VCP sold by the end of 2006 is around 230. In addition to the 200 VCPs, Nela also sold 180 3-point benders as of July 2006, expected number for the end of 2006 lies around 210. The NELA group has more than 1,200 VCP installed worldwide.
