NELA introduces the LogiStack to the US market
Oakdale, MN – October 30, 2007 — NELA is bringing a new product to the US printing market offering intelligent plate sortation to help printers eliminate manual plate sorting.
The LogiStack was introduced to the European market during IFRA 2007 last month in Vienna, Austria. NELA USA is now offering this product to its customers in North & South America as well.
The LogiStack is a fully-automated, smart sorter with a staging queue that organizes the imaged plates according to their location on press. Press-ready, bent plates are automatically held in the staging queue until the press is ready for that specific printing job. Once the job has been released the plates are then automatically removed from the queue and delivered to the sorting bins based on press position. Thus eliminating the time-consuming sorting by hand which can result in damage to plates. NELA’s LogiStack corresponding software interacts with the press software and obtains the information on where each plate has to go on press. Time and money savings are guaranteed.
The LogiStack comes in 3 versions – for 100, 200 and 300 plate storage capabilities. The LogiStack modules can be combined to accommodate large plate queue capacity requirement. One module can sort up to 300 plates per hour. The LogiStack is available for all web & sheetfed offset plates.
