ROVI is an indexing system, which performs a comprehensive, homogeneous, high resolution inspection of your plastic and rubber parts. The detection of deeper defects on your plastic and rubber parts is carried out by stretching and squeezing which enables the system to spot defects hidden from normal optical inspection. The inspection sensors are equipped with a combined camera and an adjustable illumination, which ensures detection of the smallest defects on the inside as well as on the surface. After the inspection run the parts can be according to quality, up to sixteen different sorting channels can be implemented.
ROVI is suitable for the detection of the smallest defects on the surface and on the inside of different symmetrical plastic and rubber parts. The optical inspection and sorting system serves a broad range of different plastic materials widely used in todays industries.
The inspection system can handle parts with an outer diameter of 3.0 mm or more and the throughput is 1800 parts per hour.

The optical sensors detects even the smallest surface defects as well as any defects on the insides of different symmetrical plastic and rubber parts. The detection of surface defects is carried out with high resolution camera systems based on gray-value difference analysis. The squeezing and stretching procedure is non-damaging and does not alter the part in any way.
The sensors detect pores, holes, cracks, material contamination, surface defects and flowlines.
